New Orleans comes to Brooklyn!
The annual Chili Pepper Festival at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens is back.
Saturday, September 28, 2019 | 11 a.m.– 7 p.m.
“Brooklyn’s favorite spicy festival entices visitors this year with a full day of fiery tastings that finishes hot with an all-new evening concert featuring living legends of New Orleans music John “Papa” Gros, blues master Walter “Wolfman’’ Washington, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, and the Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas.
During the day, indulge in tasty bites and sizzling sauces from three-dozen small-batch food vendors and enjoy spicy demonstrations, cooking demos, foodie-friendly tours and talks by BBG gardeners, and activities for children.
